What kinds of music do you carry?
We stock essential records across a wide range of genres—albums we believe belong in every collection. If you’re looking for punk, emo, or Warped Tour-era favorites, check out our friends at Smartpunk Records. Study Hall Records leans toward everything else—classic, indie, experimental, and beyond.
What is vinyl? How do I take care of records?
Vinyl records are an analog format offering a rich listening experience alongside large-format artwork. They require proper care:
- Store vertically, away from heat and sunlight.
- Use clean inner sleeves.
- Handle by the edges and clean regularly with a brush or cleaning solution.
What shipping options do you offer?
We offer standard, expedited, and international shipping. Rates are calculated at checkout based on your location. All orders are securely packed to protect your vinyl during transit.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. International customers are responsible for any customs, VAT, or import fees.
How does Study Hall Records ship orders?
All orders are packed in-house using vinyl-specific mailers and protective materials. We handle all items with care.
How do I place an order?
Browse the catalog, add items to your cart, and check out securely. We accept major payment methods, including Shop Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal, and credit/debit cards. You’ll receive an order confirmation by email.
Can I change or cancel my order after it’s placed?
Orders are processed quickly. If you need to change or cancel, contact us immediately. We’ll try to accommodate requests before shipping.
Do you offer a subscription service?
Not at this time. Sign up for the newsletter to hear about new releases and potential future offerings.
What is a coupon code? Why isn’t mine working?
Coupon codes provide discounts at checkout. Ensure your cart qualifies, the code hasn’t expired, and it’s entered correctly. For unresolved issues, contact us.
Why doesn’t my record look exactly like the product photo?
Vinyl manufacturing creates natural variations in color and appearance. We display mock-ups or product photos as accurately as possible, but slight differences are normal.
How can I tell what color the record is?
If a product has a specific variant or color, it’s noted in the product title or description. For sealed or standard items, we cannot guarantee specific variants unless stated. Contact us if you need assistance.
PRE-ORDERS, SHIPPING & ORDER STATUS
What does “pre-order” mean?
Pre-orders reserve unreleased items. Street dates are provided by labels and may change due to production delays. We’ll notify you of any changes.
Will my pre-order ship separately?
No. Orders containing pre-order and in-stock items will be held until all items are available. To receive in-stock items sooner, place separate orders.
Why do ship dates differ between stores?
Our ship dates are based on info from our label, distributor, and pressing plant partners. Different stores may receive inventory at different times, especially for exclusive variants.
How long does it take to process and ship orders?
In-stock orders ship within 1–3 business days. Transit times vary by method and location. Pre-orders ship as soon as inventory arrives. You’ll receive tracking once your order ships.
Do you ship partial orders?
No. Orders ship only when all items are ready. This includes orders with pre-order or backorder items. If an item is unavailable, we’ll contact you via email for a resolution.
Where is my order?
Domestic shipping generally takes 1–2 weeks from shipment date. International orders typically take 2–6 weeks. Report missing domestic shipments within 30 days, and international shipments within 90 days. Incorrect addresses may cause delays or returns. Contact us for help.
What if my record arrives damaged?
Email us with photos of the packaging and damage. We’ll work to replace the item or issue a refund if it’s unavailable. We take packaging seriously, but occasional shipping issues happen.
RETURNS, REFUNDS & GIFT OPTIONS
What’s your return policy?
We accept returns on unopened, sealed items within 30 days of purchase. If your item arrived damaged or incorrect, contact us for a quick resolution.
Do you offer digital gift cards?
Yes. Gift cards are available in multiple denominations and are delivered instantly by email—ideal for gifts.
